Photo Credits: Any photo I use I always try to credit the source properly! Even if I read a post and know that the picture didn’t come from where that person said it does; I always will run a picture through Google Image Search. If a picture is posted here and you want it: removed or properly credited, please contact me and show proof that it’s your picture. There are tons of people out there who claim to own pictures that really don’t.
– You may use anything you wish on this site for yours however please keep this in mind.
There are some sites out there who have blogs that are merely “RePost” blogs. Those are blog that are simply copied and pasted and posted on their sites. I find it amusing these sites have the nerve to put this universal quote on their site:
Content cannot be copied or re posted without prior written consent by the admin. Partial re posting permitted with a link back to the original article.
You have to laugh b/c you know them sites don’t follow their own rules. It’s mind boggling! I don’t care if someone uses my stuff all I ask is that you link it to it’s ORIGINAL post and use only a snippet.. Fair enough?
There are some people out there that think they own their tweets and everything else associated that they put on social network sites. For those people here is a FYI:
You may be shocked to find out that once you post on these sites, that although you still “own” the photograph, you grant the social media sites a license to use your photograph anyway they see fit for free AND you grant them the right to let others use you picture as well! This means that not only can Twitter, Twitpic and Facebook make money from the photograph or video (otherwise, a copyright violation), but these sites are making commercial gain by licensing these images, which contains the likeness of the person in the photo or video (otherwise, a violation of their “rights of publicity”).
